We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We sure did. We wanted to share with you a wine we had yesterday that everyone enjoyed!

Terre Rouge, Les Côtes de L’Ouest California, Syrah 2017

This is a Syrah from California, and we’ve really been enjoying domestic Syrahs lately. As is classic with Syrahs, it has a slight meaty character to it (I know I’ve said this before, but while that may sound odd, it’s really interesting). More appealing, it also has clear notes of black pepper and other baking spices, ripe strawberries, and new leather. It reminded us of French Syrah from the Rhône Valley, with some of the earthy, spicy notes we expect from there, but fruitier. This is a delicious, spicy red wine that seems perfect for the holiday season ahead!
